Sky Mobile Announces Price Hike, Customers to Face £1.50 Increase

Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following the announcement of a new price hike. The majority of customers will face a £1.50 per month raise, amounting to an annual increase of £18, although some individuals may observe different adjustments.

The revised pricing will be implemented on February 14, 2026, marking the first alteration for existing customers within a contractual term in over seven years. Should customers be dissatisfied with the elevated charges and are still within the minimum contract period, they have the option to terminate their package without incurring early termination fees.

However, the social tariff for Sky Mobile targeted at low-income users will remain unchanged. Sky attributed the price adjustment to rising wholesale network expenses and assured that affected customers will receive notifications starting from today.

A representative from Sky Mobile explained that to maintain the expected quality, service, and value for customers, the majority will experience a £1.50 rise in their monthly bills from February. The decision, made after substantial deliberation, was necessary to address industry-wide cost pressures while enabling continued investments in network enhancements and customer satisfaction.

In a similar vein, O2 recently disclosed that nearly all mobile and SIM-only contract subscribers will witness a £2.50 monthly increment from April 2026, surpassing the initially proposed rise of £1.80. Additionally, Three mobile users opting for data plans up to 4GB will face a £1.80 per month escalation from April, indicating an 80p hike from the current £1 increment.

For Three customers with plans exceeding 4GB, the monthly cost will elevate by £1.90, while those with over 100GB will experience a £2.30 uptick. Three’s broadband subscribers can anticipate a £3.50 monthly raise starting April 2026. Vodafone customers who secure deals after November 12 will witness a £2.50 monthly increase, or £1.50 for Basics SIM offerings.

Furthermore, Vodafone broadband consumers will encounter a £3.50 monthly upsurge. Existing Vodafone and Three customers with ongoing contracts will witness the agreed-upon price adjustments without any additional changes.
