“Mother Arrested for Concealing Son’s Body Among Garbage”

A mother has been accused of killing her two-year-old son and concealing his body among laundry and garbage, as disclosed in court proceedings. Nichole Lynn Boyer surrendered to authorities after the police discovered the child’s decomposed remains at her residence. Despite admitting to the police that they should arrest her, Boyer pleaded not guilty to the charge of intentional homicide during her recent court appearance and has been detained until the next hearing.

The court was informed that the child, who suffered from severe disabilities such as spina bifida, club feet, and hydrocephalus, was found in a deteriorated state at Boyer’s house in Lima, Montana. Upon entering the residence, investigators were immediately struck by a foul smell. They identified the odor of decomposing human remains in the cluttered and unsanitary home, filled with trash, spoiled food, and animal waste.

The child’s body was discovered in an upstairs room, lying amidst a heap of laundry and refuse next to a mattress, covered with a sweatshirt claimed to belong to Boyer. The room was described as filthy and cold, with an air conditioner running despite the outside temperature being approximately 44C. During questioning, Boyer allegedly confessed to neglecting her son due to feeling overwhelmed by caring for her father, the toddler, and three other children, admitting that her attention to the special-needs child had waned since September.

Boyer reportedly shared with investigators that she ceased checking on her son regularly, leaving food and water on the floor for him to access as needed. She acknowledged that she stopped providing water in September and could not recall the last time he had eaten. Despite expressing remorse for her actions and recognizing that her neglect contributed to her son’s death, Boyer denied committing deliberate homicide. However, authorities revealed that Boyer was aware of her son’s death weeks before reporting it, convincing herself that he was still alive until eventually contacting the authorities.
