Manhunt underway for Donald Henson after FBI gate ramming

A manhunt is underway following an incident where a vehicle rammed an FBI gate, with authorities labeling it as an act of terrorism. Police are seeking Donald Henson of Penn Hills, who allegedly used his car to breach the barrier at Pittsburgh Field in Pennsylvania early Wednesday morning. The suspect reportedly took an American flag from the vehicle and hung it over the gate.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the event, according to the FBI. Assistant Special Agent In Charge Christopher Giordano stated that the individual fled the scene, prompting a warning for public vigilance. Giordano noted that Henson is suspected to have a background of mental health issues.

Describing the incident as a deliberate act of terror against the FBI, Giordano emphasized the targeted nature of the attack on the building. Images aired by CBS depicted a white sedan forcefully lodged into the gate. Law enforcement officers are present at the scene as the investigation unfolds.

Giordano informed CBS that Henson is currently wanted in connection with the offense against the FBI, clarifying that there is no evidence suggesting he is armed. Stressing the severity of the crime, Giordano asserted that federal prosecution would be pursued rigorously.

Authorities revealed that a message was apparently inscribed on one of the car’s windows. The FBI identified the suspect as a former military member who recently visited the Pittsburgh office. In response, a bomb squad was called to examine the vehicle.

An eyewitness, Nakeisha Brown, recounted hearing screeching tires followed by the collision. Brown described the suspect exiting the vehicle, retrieving an object from the passenger side—initially thought to be a gun but turned out to be a flag—placing it on the fence, shouting some words, and then departing from the scene.
