Strictly Come Dancing participant Dani Dyer had to withdraw from the competition due to an ankle fracture sustained during rehearsals. Dani expressed her disappointment on social media, explaining that she injured her ankle while practicing and was advised by doctors not to dance on a fractured ankle, leading to her exit from the show.
In a message on Instagram, the 29-year-old shared her feelings, stating that she will miss partnering with Nikita but will support the other couples from afar. The show’s Executive Producer, Sarah James from BBC Studios, praised Dani for her enthusiasm and partnership with Nikita, expressing sadness over her departure and wishing her a speedy recovery.
This is not the first time the Love Island star faced an early exit from a TV program due to an injury. In 2018, Dani had to leave ITV2’s Survival of the Fittest after dislocating her shoulder during a challenge on the show. Despite attempting to continue, the severity of the injury forced her to withdraw from the competition.
