Apple is presently hosting its annual WWDC Developers Conference at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, with a plethora of updates across its product lineup. Among these updates, the iPhone is receiving new features scheduled for release later this year, promising enhanced customization, improved parental controls, faster app launches, and a more intuitive Siri assistant. This upcoming release is expected to be a major hit, particularly benefiting users with devices compatible with Apple Intelligence.
Introduced in 2024, Apple Intelligence initially faced challenges with several promised features failing to materialize. However, the tech giant has since been diligently working to enhance this intelligent service, gearing up to roll out the improvements to the general public.
Upon its launch in September, Apple Intelligence is poised to simplify life by assisting in calendar organization and offering context-based suggestions in Messages. For instance, receiving a message requesting “photos of mum” from a contact will prompt Apple Intelligence to display relevant images from the user’s photo library for quicker access.
Notable changes are also coming to Safari browsers, featuring a new “Notify Me” function enabling users to monitor web pages for updates like product restocks or price adjustments. Additionally, Safari will introduce tab organization by topic to streamline browsing.
One of the standout features of the update is the enhanced photo capabilities of Apple Intelligence, offering improved image retouching, object removal, background extension without specialized software skills, and a new feature called Spatial Reframing for post-photo composition adjustments.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering, emphasized the company’s commitment to developing user-centric AI that integrates seamlessly into daily products while prioritizing privacy. The updated Apple Intelligence is set to debut with iOS 27 this fall, accessible on select iPhone models including the 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 series, iPhone 17 models, and the iPhone Air.
