“Amazon Unveils Slim Fire TV Stick HD with Direct Power, Faster Speeds”

Amazon is set to introduce a new streaming device, the Fire TV Stick HD, with advanced features not found in current models. Priced at £39.99, this latest entry-level gadget stands out for its slim and sleek design, being 30% narrower than its predecessor for easy placement behind TVs and increased portability.

An innovative feature of the Fire TV Stick HD is its power source, drawing power directly from the television’s USB port, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter. Amazon highlighted, “The new Fire TV Stick HD is our slimmest streaming device, optimized for Direct Power through the TV’s USB port, fitting neatly behind a TV.”

Similar to other Fire TV Sticks, the device provides quick access to popular streaming services like Disney+, Apple TV, Prime Video, iPlayer, ITVX, and Netflix. It includes a remote with Alexa voice search and quick launch buttons for apps. While it doesn’t support 4K quality, it offers full HD viewing, suitable for most households.

Amazon boasts that the Fire TV Stick HD delivers noticeable speed enhancements over previous HD models, being over 30% faster on average. This results in quicker startup and app launching. Additionally, it comes with the latest Fire operating system for a cleaner user experience, improved recommendations, and simplified content discovery.

The Fire TV Stick HD will be available in stores on April 29th at a price of £39.99.
