Wetherspoon kicks off its January Sale today at 600 pubs, offering a pint of beer starting from only 99p. The discounted drinks lineup includes Worthington’s beer at 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine at £2.99 per 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with mixer) at £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with mixer) at £1.99.
In addition to alcoholic options, there is a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks available, such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin at £1.69 each. Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa are also on sale for 99p each.
Food discounts are also on offer at Wetherspoon, featuring an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a chicken burger with chips for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.
For those craving jacket potatoes, a selection of six fillings like tuna mayo, coleslaw, and chili bean non-carne are available for £4.99 with a soft drink or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink. Additional fillings or a side salad can be added for 99p. New gourmet jacket potatoes are introduced, priced at £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic drink.
The loaded spud comes packed with cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream. Vegetarians can indulge in the Mexican spud, loaded with chili bean non-carne, cheese, guacamole, crushed tortilla chips, sliced chilies, and coriander. The smoky potato features pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese, smoky chipotle mayo, and sliced chilies.
Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin expressed excitement, stating, “Department stores and shops have their sales in January, so it’s the perfect time for a pub sale too. The range of drinks and food caters to various tastes, including a wide selection of low and non-alcoholic options. I believe the January Sale will be well-received by our customers, with staff serving responsibly.”
The sale will be ongoing in 600 pubs from January 2 and from January 3 in Scotland until January 15. Note that prices at Wetherspoon’s other 200 venues may differ.
