“Sky Customers Report ITVX App Skipping Glitch”

Some Sky customers are facing an annoying issue with the popular ITVX app. The problem started last week, causing interruptions during viewing by skipping to the end of programs unexpectedly. Users have reported instances where they are abruptly taken to the credits without using the fast-forward feature on their remotes.

On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky complained about the ITV Player skipping ahead to the end of episodes without prompt, making viewing challenging for the past few days. Another user named Dawn also shared experiencing similar issues of programs jumping to the end randomly, usually at the start or after ad breaks.

The technical glitches seem to impact users with Sky’s online devices such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it’s uncertain if Sky Q is affected, most complaints are from users with broadband-connected gadgets rather than satellite dishes.

Although the root cause of the problem remains unknown, a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the issues and assured users that they are collaborating with ITV to address and resolve the issue promptly.

Kev mentioned in a forum post, “We recognize the frustration this may cause and have escalated the matter to our support teams for resolution with ITV. We will provide updates as soon as we have more information.”

Currently, users may have to endure the skipping problems temporarily until a fix is implemented. Mirror Online will keep readers updated on any developments regarding this issue.
