Contepomi criticized Curry’s behavior, claiming that the England player showed aggression towards him after the match. According to Contepomi, Curry’s actions were disrespectful, especially given the injury caused to their player.
In response, England’s coach Steve Borthwick defended Curry’s character, emphasizing his professionalism and integrity. Borthwick stated that he was unaware of the incident in the tunnel but highlighted Curry’s positive attributes as a team player.
Despite the controversy, England secured a victory over Argentina, marking their 11th consecutive win. Borthwick commended his team’s performance in a challenging match and expressed optimism about the team’s growth and potential moving forward.
