Investors Sue Selena Gomez Over Mental Health Startup

Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit filed by investors accusing her of defrauding them by neglecting her responsibilities to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors contributed approximately $1.2 million to Wondermind Global, a venture initiated in 2021 with the aim of enhancing users’ “mental fitness.”

According to the legal complaint filed in federal court in Delaware, investors were informed that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media with over 500 million followers, would play an active role in the company as the head of marketing. Allegedly, Gomez and other company executives failed to fulfill their commitments, such as the creation of a mobile application.

The lawsuit claims that Gomez allegedly signed a contract committing to specific tasks but disregarded it. The investors assert that the company did not have a viable business plan and failed to meet essential obligations like timely payment to employees and vendors.

A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet commented on the matter. The lawsuit alleges that the investors were unaware of the company’s challenges until they were disclosed in an online news report in September 2025. The plaintiffs are seeking to recover their investments along with legal expenses.
