Freeview is undergoing further changes as the television service has announced updates to its TV guide, including repositioning and renaming. One significant development is the closure of the Talk channel (Ch 280) on Freeview. In addition to the channel closure, Freeview’s recent update reveals that Wedotv Big Stories on channel 275 will be rebranded as Wedotv. Furthermore, three services will be relocated on the planner. Ketchup TV, Ketchup Too, and Cartoon Classics will all be moving to new channel numbers, with Ketchup TV shifting from Ch 209 to Ch 208, Ketchup Too from Ch 210 to Ch 209, and Cartoon Classics moving from Ch 214 to Ch 210.
Freeview confirmed that on 25th June 2026, several broadcasters will be adjusting their channels. For those needing to retune their TVs, the process involves pressing the menu button on the box or remote control, selecting options like ‘set-up’, ‘installation’, or ‘update’, and choosing ‘first-time installation’ or a similar setting to initiate the retune process. If prompted to delete existing channels, users should press ‘OK’ and save any channels found during the retune.
