“Fitbit Unveils Stylish Screenless Fitbit Air”

Fitbit, known for promoting active lifestyles for over 15 years, has introduced a new device called the Fitbit Air. Unlike previous models, the Fitbit Air does not have a screen and resembles popular wristbands like Whoop bands. This new design focuses on providing a more comfortable and stylish option for users.

Although the Fitbit Air lacks features such as message reading and heart rate monitoring, it boasts several advantages. It is designed to be more comfortable, resembling a bracelet rather than a traditional smartwatch. In a recent study by Google, the Fitbit Air was rated as more comfortable than its competitors.

One standout feature of the Fitbit Air is its impressive battery life, offering up to a week of power on a single charge. Additionally, the device supports fast charging, providing a day’s worth of power in just five minutes. The inclusion of a new magnetic charger with bi-directional technology ensures convenient recharging without worrying about the orientation.

Despite its minimalist appearance, the Fitbit Air remains true to its roots as a fitness tracker. It monitors various health metrics such as sleep patterns, activity levels, exercise routines, heart rate, and can even detect irregular heart rhythms like AFib, alerting users accordingly.

Internally, the Fitbit Air houses essential sensors including an optical heart rate monitor, a 3-axis accelerometer, a gyroscope, red and infrared sensors for oxygen levels, and a temperature sensor. Data collected by the device is directly synced to smartphones, where the Google Health Coach app provides users with comprehensive health insights.

The Fitbit Air is fully water-resistant up to 50 meters and will be available in four color options: Obsidian, Fog, Berry, and Lavender. Priced at £84.99, this new Fitbit offering aims to provide a sleek and affordable fitness tracking solution for users.
