Dani Dyer’s decision to step back from participating in the latest season of the popular TV show “Strictly Come Dancing” has caused a stir, especially among her father, Danny Dyer. The announcement was made recently, revealing that she will no longer be part of the BBC program, citing an injury as the reason for her withdrawal.
The 29-year-old was set to dance alongside professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin but had to abandon the competition due to an injury, as stated in her official communication. This development follows the pre-recorded launch show that aired over the weekend, introducing this season’s dance couples.
The news of Dani, a former “Love Island” winner, departing from “Strictly Come Dancing” just days before the first live show ignited reactions on social media. Her father, Danny Dyer, expressed his disappointment by commenting with a broken heart emoji on several posts related to the announcement.
Not only Danny Dyer, but also other participants and professional dancers from the show conveyed their dismay. Colleague Vicky Pattison shared her sadness, stating, “Absolutely devastated for you Dani. I’m going to miss you so much … Love you loads.”
Various professional dancers, including Michelle Tsiakkas and Karen Hauer, offered words of support and wished Dani a speedy recovery. The judges, such as Dianne Buswell and Motsi Mabuse, also expressed their sympathies and emphasized the importance of health.
As revealed, Dani sustained an ankle fracture during rehearsals for the show, leading to her withdrawal. In her statement, she mentioned her disappointment at not being able to continue and vowed to cheer on the remaining contestants.
Sarah James, the executive producer at BBC Studios, praised Dani’s enthusiasm for the show and hinted at a possible comeback in the future. She conveyed well wishes for Dani’s recovery and optimism about her potential return to the competition.
The upcoming live show of “Strictly Come Dancing” will proceed as scheduled on Saturday, airing on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
