“King Charles Playfully Warns Trump About Sword”

During President Donald Trump’s visit to Windsor Castle, King Charles playfully warned him to “watch the sword” in a lighthearted moment. The incident occurred as the King and Trump were standing at the end of the Guard of Honour, with a ceremonial guard making a gesture with a sword, prompting Charles to jestingly caution Trump about the blade.

Trump seemed to find the remark amusing, as he was seen smiling and engaging with King Charles immediately after. The King then leaned in towards Trump, creating a friendly and intimate moment between the two.

The amusing interaction was shared on Twitter by Daily Mail Royal Editor Rebecca English, who described the scene where the King advised Trump to be cautious of the sword. Trump and his wife Melania were welcomed at Windsor Castle with grandeur, including a meeting with the Prince and Princess of Wales, a carriage ride around the estate, and other ceremonial displays aimed at impressing the US President.

The elaborate arrangements and the scale of the welcome indicate the significance attached to the visit, as Prime Minister Keir Starmer also prepares to meet Trump at Chequers. The ceremony involved around 1,300 military personnel, 120 horses, as well as 160 members from the Royal Marines and Royal Navy, and an estimated 1,000 from the British Army.

During the welcome at Victoria House, the King and Queen warmly greeted the American guests, while Prince William and Kate Middleton engaged in friendly conversations with Melania and Camilla. Trump conversed with the King as they boarded the Scottish State Coach for a carriage procession.
