“Sky Cinema Animation and Family Channels Merge for One-Stop Family Movie Destination”

Sky viewers are in for a change this week as the company merges Sky Cinema Animation and Sky Cinema Family into a single channel. The consolidation, effective April 30, aims to simplify the service, offering a one-stop destination for family-friendly movies on channel 304.

Popular titles like the Shrek series, The Secret Life of Pets, Smurfs, How to Train Your Dragon, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Wicked will now be available in one place. While this means one less channel, all content from Sky Cinema Animation will still be accessible through Sky Cinema Family.

For fans of Sky Cinema Animation, the channel will make temporary comebacks during school holidays, running from July 24 to August 30, October 23 to November 1, and December 1 to January 5.

In other news, Sky has expanded into the home security market with the release of new smart devices. Customers can subscribe to the Sky Smart Doorbell and Chime for £5 per month with a £15 upfront fee, offering features like full HD video recording, mobile alerts, two-way audio, and cloud video storage.

Additionally, Sky presents the Smart Home Bundle with Smart Home Plan+ for £8 monthly and a £20 initial cost. This package includes an indoor camera and enhanced app controls for added convenience.

Paul Sweeney, Managing Director of Sky Smart Home, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing accessible premium smart technology focused on user-friendly features at affordable prices.
