“£1 Million Wealth Boost for Two Lucky Premium Bond Winners”

In the latest update for January 2026, the Premium Bond results have been revealed, bringing good fortune to two individuals who are now £1 million wealthier as they begin the New Year.

One of the lucky winners resides in Suffolk, holding the maximum £50,000 in Premium Bonds with the winning bond number 570QM451332 purchased back in February 2024. The other £1 million winner hails from Berkshire, also owning £50,000 in Premium Bonds, and their winning bond number 377PG290829 was acquired in December 2019.

Premium Bonds, a savings product by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), offers participants a chance to win through a monthly prize draw instead of receiving a fixed interest rate on their savings.

The smallest prize awarded monthly is £25, while the largest prize stands at £1 million. However, winning a prize every month is not guaranteed, with a higher frequency of smaller prizes compared to larger sums.

The odds of winning with each bond are 22,000 to 1, and winners are notified via email or text message by NS&I. Winners can opt to have the prize money deposited into their bank account or reinvested in Premium Bonds, with tools like the NS&I online prize checker available for verification.

Currently, the prize fund rate for Premium Bonds is 3.60%, a figure that has remained constant since the August 2025 draw. While the prize fund rate has seen a slight decrease recently, there are still two £1 million prizes up for grabs each month, attracting over 24 million Premium Bonds holders.

Past data shared with This is Money revealed the luckiest regions for Premium Bond wins, with Hampshire and the Isle of Wight leading the way in 2025, followed by Essex and Outer London. Notably, Norwich and Cumbria each saw a £1 million jackpot win last year.
