Zach Parker Outraged by Judges’ Decision in Bout

Zach Parker expressed outrage at the judges’ decision that cost him a win against Joshua Buatsi, believing it jeopardized his children’s future. The light-heavyweight Parker showcased dominance over Olympic bronze medalist Buatsi during their match in Manchester over the weekend.

Parker effectively thwarted his opponent, as Buatsi struggled to counter his strategic moves. Buatsi found himself chasing Parker, who skillfully outwitted him and disrupted his rhythm by frequently resorting to holding tactics.

Although Buatsi showed improvement in the middle rounds, Parker was the clear victor. Surprisingly, the judges’ decision was split, with one scoring it a draw and the other two awarding Butasi the win by a narrow margin.

Disheartened by the outcome, Parker, who is a father and expecting another child, was on the brink of tears. He vehemently contested the judges’ decision, stating that he had convincingly won the fight and that everyone present at ringside would agree.

Buatsi, on the other hand, rebounded from his previous defeat by Callum Smith earlier in the year. Despite criticism from the audience, he criticized Parker’s defensive tactics during the match.

Looking ahead, Buatsi aims to face the winner of Anthony Yarde’s world title bout with David Benavidez in Saudi Arabia later this month. In a separate match earlier that evening, Liam Cameron controversially triumphed over Troy Jones despite Jones’ dominance in significant portions of the fight.

In other news, Eddie Hearn has earmarked two potential dates for Anthony Joshua’s comeback this year, possibly as an undercard fighter. Joshua, who has been inactive since his defeat by Daniel Dubois at Wembley over a year ago, may feature on a card in California on December 13 or in Riyadh on December 27.

Additionally, Hearn hinted at a potential matchup between Joshua and Jake Paul before Christmas, as the social media personality seeks a new opponent to replace Gervonta Davis, who is facing legal issues.
