UK Influencer’s Ibiza Home Flooded Amid Severe Storms

A UK social media influencer who relocated to Ibiza is distraught following heavy rainfall that led to her luxurious property being inundated.

Videos from the Spanish island depict severe flooding, with roads turning into fast-flowing streams and water gushing through the roof of Ibiza Airport.

Local reports indicated a deluge inside the airport, where the security check area was submerged under continuous, intense leaks.

The entire island is on red alert for heavy rainfall until 4 pm local time.

Stella Tzortzi, a resident of a farm on the Spanish party island, shared updates on the havoc caused by the rain on the streets and within her residence.

She relayed to her 353,000 TikTok followers, “My house is completely flooded due to leaks in the roof. The external environment is chaotic with floating bins. I will document the current situation in Ibiza.”

The 26-year-old Londoner also mentioned her concerns for Sheila the pig, her companion, who was confined as water levels rose rapidly.

Despite the distressing situation, she reassured her followers with a message saying, “Landlord is assisting. Will keep you posted xxx.”

In the Balearic Islands, emergency services responded to 61 incidents, primarily on Ibiza. Multiple roads were closed, and a school in San Antonio was evacuated as a precaution.

Basements and garages suffered extensive flooding, and some routes to the main airport were shut down. Floodwaters transformed streets into rivers, causing damage to vehicles and uprooting trees.

Firefighters are engaged in rescuing individuals trapped in vehicles and residences, as stated by the local authorities in Ibiza. Certain roads are closed, including those from Sant Antoni and Santa Eulària, as well as the E-10.

In case of emergencies, individuals are advised to call 112, with the fire service experiencing a surge in rescue requests. Caution is emphasized, urging people to avoid unnecessary travel and adhere to official alerts.

Footage from Sueca showed the town submerged under stagnant water post the rainfall.

Additionally, a video from Murcia captured a pedestrian swept away by a strong current of muddy floodwater along a road.
