“Trump’s Disapproval: Time Magazine Cover Sparks Controversy”

US President Donald Trump made headlines globally for his efforts to bring peace to Gaza, with one magazine cover drawing his strong disapproval. Following his visit to Israel to facilitate the release of hostages and prisoners in the wake of a recent ceasefire agreement, he joined 20 other world leaders in signing a declaration in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

Time magazine featured a cover story titled ‘His Triumph,’ commending Trump’s administration for its extensive endeavors to secure peace. Despite the positive article, Trump vehemently objected to the chosen cover photo, depicting him in a serious pose wearing a navy suit, white shirt, and red tie.

Expressing his discontent on Truth Social, Trump criticized the image for its unflattering portrayal, particularly focusing on what he perceived as a distorted representation of his hair. He described the cover as “weird” and questioned the editorial decision to use such a photo angle.

The article praised the peace deal as a potential highlight of Trump’s second term, citing it as a strategic milestone for the Middle East. It highlighted the meticulous efforts undertaken by his administration to broker the ceasefire and mitigate one of the region’s most destabilizing conflicts.

A long-time admirer of Time magazine, Trump had previously graced its cover in 1989 and had been named Person of the Year twice. Reflecting on the significance of the accolade, he emphasized the honor it held for him, given his admiration for the publication.

However, Trump had expressed disappointment in the past when he was not selected as Person of the Year, particularly when the honor was bestowed upon German Chancellor Angela Merkel. He criticized the decision, indicating his belief that he was more deserving of the recognition.
