A tragic incident unfolded as a 52-year-old skydiver, Rosana Mabel Back, met her demise when her parachute failed to open during a solo jump from her usual skydiving center in Argentina. The experienced therapist and writer was using unfamiliar equipment at the time of the fatal jump.
Following the failed parachute opening, Rosana fell to her death in Miramar, located about 200 miles south of Buenos Aires. The Aero Club Miramar expressed deep regret over the accident and extended their sympathies to Rosana’s family, friends, and colleagues during this challenging time.
Additionally, the club clarified that they are not associated with the specific skydiving activities at the Miramar airport. The Argentine Writer’s Society paid tribute to Rosana, highlighting her positive qualities and expressing condolences to her loved ones.
Authorities have ordered an autopsy and are investigating the equipment used by Rosana to determine if any faults contributed to the tragic outcome. Meanwhile, a separate incident in Australia saw a pilot lose his life as eight skydivers narrowly escaped a plane crash by jumping just moments before it went down in New South Wales.
