“TLC Joins Freeview Lineup, HGTV Discontinued”

Freeview households have just received an exciting addition to their entertainment lineup. A new channel has been introduced this week that was previously exclusive to premium TV services like Sky and Virgin Media. This enhancement allows Freeview viewers to now enjoy TLC, a channel renowned for its reality shows, comedy, and movies.

TLC, known for popular series such as Dr Pimple Popper and Say Yes To The Dress, is broadening its content with a wider range of programs, including sitcoms and blockbuster films.

With this update, Freeview users can access beloved shows like The Big Bang Theory, Mock the Week, and Young Sheldon. Movie enthusiasts can also anticipate watching blockbusters like Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Freeview has announced that TLC is now available on channel 12, although some households may need to retune their TVs to access it.

In addition to TLC’s arrival, the update will result in a minor channel realignment. Quest will shift from Channel 12 to Channel 17 to accommodate TLC, while Really will move from Channel 17 to Channel 44.

However, not all news is positive. Freeview has disclosed that HGTV will be discontinued, leading to the removal of shows like My Lottery Dream Home, Celebrity IOU, and Building Alaska from the platform. Other channels being shut down include HGTV, God TV, and India Today.

Here are the comprehensive changes:

**New Channels:**
– TLC – Channel 12
– TLC+1 – Channel 99

**Channel Moves:**
– Quest – Channel 17
– Really – Channel 44

**Channels Being Discontinued:**
– HGTV
– God TV
– India Today
