Since the beginning of the latest season of The Traitors on January 1, the audience has been eagerly speculating about the mysterious Secret Traitor and sharing their thoughts on social platforms. Viewers of the show were promised the revelation of the Secret Traitor’s identity in the upcoming episode on January 8. However, I may have a theory about the Secret Traitor’s true identity even before that anticipated reveal.
In the previous episode aired on January 3, the enigmatic red-cloaked Secret Traitor made an appearance at the turret, intending to unveil themselves to the regular contestants Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby. The question remains: who could this secretive figure be?
In my view, the Secret Traitor can only be one individual – Fiona. Let me elaborate on my reasoning.
Numerous speculations have circulated regarding the Secret Traitor and their motivations. For instance, Ellie was caught mentioning the term ‘Secret Traitor’ in a conversation with the camera crew.
Conversely, some believe that Harriet might be the Secret Traitor following her confrontational exchange with fellow barrister Hugo.
Yet, why am I so convinced that Fiona is the one?
Well, one observation stands out – Fiona seems adept at subtly inciting conflict while deflecting blame onto others, a skill that sets her apart from the rest of the group.
This strategy became apparent in the situation involving Ross and Ben.
It has been deduced that a Traitor must have been present to know that Ben had suggested pointing fingers at Ross if he were to meet an unfortunate end. Interestingly, the Traitors failed to consider the possibility that the Secret Traitor might have also been present and influenced Ben’s initial suspicion of Ross.
The morning after Ben’s demise, Fiona raised the issue of Ben’s statement but conveniently claimed to have forgotten the specifics, tasking Jessie with recounting the details to the group.
This tactic cleverly shifted attention without directly implicating herself.
Furthermore, Fiona questioned the behavior changes of Hugo and Rachel, both confirmed Traitors, from the train journey to the Castle setting.
