Samsung has recently unveiled three new models in the Galaxy S26 series, with one of them featuring a unique Privacy Display that sets it apart from competitors like the iPhone. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is now thinner and faster, boasting a Privacy Display feature that prevents unauthorized viewing of the screen content.
When activated in the settings, the Privacy Display ensures that content disappears when not directly viewed, enhancing privacy in public settings. This feature can be customized to block out specific apps or notifications, providing users with greater control over their privacy settings.
Samsung described the Galaxy S26 Ultra as introducing the industry’s first built-in Privacy Display, a revolutionary advancement in display technology that enhances privacy protection on a smartphone. By manipulating how pixels emit light, the display keeps content clear and visible to the user while limiting visibility to others.
In addition to the Privacy Display, the Galaxy S26 Ultra comes with a slimmer design, extended battery life, and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy from Qualcomm, enabling rapid charging that reaches 75% in just 30 minutes. The device also features an upgraded quad rear camera for improved low-light photography and enhanced video stabilization with Super Steady capabilities.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra includes an S Pen for note-taking on its 6.9-inch AMOLED screen, continuing the tradition of previous Ultra models. Joining the Ultra version are the standard S26 with a 6.3-inch screen and the larger 6.7-inch Plus model, both powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip and equipped with triple-lens rear cameras.
Samsung has enhanced the smart features of all its new smartphones with a Galaxy AI upgrade, offering improvements like Now Nudge, which provides relevant suggestions to users to enhance productivity and reduce distractions. The Galaxy S26 series also integrates Google Gemini for improved web search functionality.
While these updates enhance the user experience, they come at a higher cost this year. The pricing for the new Samsung Galaxy S26 range in the UK is as follows:
– S26: 256GB £879, 512GB £1,049
– S26 Plus: 256GB £1,099, 512GB £1,269
– S26 Ultra: 256GB £1,279, 512GB £1,449, 1TB (with 16GB RAM) £1,699
The new Galaxy S26 models are set to hit stores next month, offering users a range of advanced features and capabilities.
