Police are in pursuit of an individual suspected of theft in connection with a significant house explosion in Bradford. The sought-after individual, Jacob Ryan, 28 years old, is being sought by law enforcement following the explosion that occurred on Southfield Lane over the weekend. Responders swiftly arrived at the unoccupied residence around 10:10 pm after receiving reports of the explosion.
Authorities from West Yorkshire Police disclosed that a man, woman, and a boy residing in a neighboring house sustained minor injuries and were hospitalized. A 27-year-old man was also taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was subsequently apprehended on suspicion of metal theft, the alleged crime that led to the explosion.
Superintendent Lucy Leadbeater of Bradford District Police stated, “Several investigations are ongoing regarding this grave incident. Although the cause of the explosion at the vacant property is still being probed, we are looking into allegations of a metal theft occurring shortly before the incident.”
“One individual, arrested for suspected involvement in the theft, suffered severe injuries. We are now in search of a second individual, identified as Jacob Ryan, linked to the theft. It is feasible that Jacob may have sustained injuries as well, and we urge him or anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward. Ensuring he receives necessary medical attention is crucial.”
