“Norris Dedicates Sao Paulo Grand Prix Win to Mentor”

British driver Lando Norris dedicated his victory at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix to his late mentor, Gil de Ferran. Norris, starting from pole position, clinched the win, solidifying his position as the frontrunner for the Formula 1 title race. He now leads his teammate Oscar Piastri by 24 points with three races left in the season.

The emotional win brought back memories of De Ferran, who tragically passed away in December 2023 at the age of 56 due to a heart attack while driving in a private motorsport event in Florida. De Ferran had a significant impact on Norris, who honored his mentor by dedicating his victory to him.

Despite the triumph, Norris acknowledged the impressive performance of Max Verstappen, who staged a remarkable comeback from starting in the pit lane to finishing third. Norris expressed concern over Verstappen’s pace, emphasizing the need for his team to analyze and improve their performance.

In the race, Piastri finished fifth, earning 10 points compared to Norris’s 25. Another standout performer was British rookie Oliver Bearman, securing sixth place for Haas and contributing valuable points in the constructors’ championship battle.

Formula 1 enthusiasts can catch all the live action, including practices, qualifiers, and races, through Sky’s Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, which also offers access to a wide range of TV channels, Netflix, and Discovery+.
