“Mercedes F1 Boss Wolff Supports Wife’s Memoir in London”

Mercedes F1 team principal Toto Wolff opted for a change of scene from the Mexico City Grand Prix, attending a performance of his wife Susie’s memoir, “Driven,” at London’s Lyceum Theatre. The 53-year-old, usually a fixture at Formula 1 events, made the special outing to support Susie’s book launch, showcasing her journey from the Scottish Highlands to the pinnacle of motorsport.

Susie’s impressive career trajectory, highlighted in the memoir, drew in a crowd of approximately 2,000 at the venue. Starting her racing career in karting at a young age, she progressed to Formula Renault in 2001, facing setbacks like an ankle injury during her Formula 3 season with Alan Docking Racing.

From 2006 to 2012, Susie competed in DTM before transitioning to a development role at Williams in F1. Notably, she made history in 2014 by becoming the first woman to participate in a F1 weekend since 1992, eventually retiring from racing in 2015 to become a brand ambassador for Mercedes.

Currently, Susie holds key positions as Team Principal for Venturi Racing in Formula E and Managing Director of the F1 Academy for female drivers. Meanwhile, Toto Wolff, though absent from the Mexico City Grand Prix, closely monitored his team’s performance.

The Mercedes team faced a challenging race with Kimi Antonelli finishing ahead of George Russell in sixth place. McLaren’s Lando Norris claimed victory, with Charles Leclerc from Ferrari and Max Verstappen of Red Bull taking the other podium spots.

In the Drivers’ standings, George Russell ranks fourth with 258 points, trailing leader Lando Norris by 99 points, while Kimi Antonelli sits in seventh place with 97 points. Mercedes currently holds third place in the Constructors’ standings with 355 points, just one point behind Ferrari, while McLaren leads with 713 points, backed by 13 victories and 30 podium finishes.
