“Love Knows No Age: UK Granny, 70, Awaits Moroccan Hubby”

A 70-year-old grandmother, Karen Aghzzaf, from Castleford, Yorkshire, found love with her 46-year-old Moroccan husband, Brahim, whom she met on Facebook in July 2015. Despite their 24-year age gap, the couple clicked instantly, with initial doubts from others about his intentions due to the age difference. Brahim’s two unsuccessful attempts at passing the English language test required for a UK spouse visa have prevented them from living together.

Karen, now residing in Blackpool, Lancashire, expressed her frustration over the situation, emphasizing Brahim’s desire to work and care for her. They have been striving for an exception from the Home Office due to Brahim’s dyslexia, which has affected his confidence. While considering relocating to Morocco initially, Karen now finds it difficult to make such a move.

The couple shares a strong bond, with Brahim getting along well with Karen’s sons. Their common love for Spain brought them together online, leading to Karen’s visit to Morocco where they eventually tied the knot in November 2017. Despite their efforts to secure a spouse visa for Brahim to move to the UK, the language test hurdles have delayed their plans.

Karen expressed her health concerns, having been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in July 2019, further intensifying her desire for Brahim’s presence and support. Brahim, lamenting the distance and loneliness, eagerly awaits the day they can reunite and start their life together.

As the couple continues to face challenges in uniting under one roof, the Home Office has been contacted for a statement.
