Supermodel Kate Moss shared that she sent a video of herself singing “Mr Bojangles” to David Bowie as a birthday message shortly before his passing in 2016. Moss, 51, recounted her first encounter with Bowie during a photoshoot for Q magazine in 2003, where they connected. She revealed on Nick Grimshaw’s BBC Radio 6 Music breakfast show that the last message she sent Bowie was the birthday video, which he received just before his sudden death.
Moss recalled the bittersweet memory, expressing her devastation at the timing of Bowie’s passing right after sending the video. Despite their initial challenging meeting, where Bowie kept Moss engaged for hours during an interview, they eventually became close friends. Moss fondly remembered Bowie calling her every year on her birthday and their shared curiosity about life.
Reflecting on her recent purchase of Kate Moss Topshop pyjamas from eBay, Moss shared her excitement about the enduring quality of the clothing line. She mentioned using the pyjamas as versatile attire, suitable for both lounging at home and going out.
