“Diana’s Treasures: Global Exhibition Tour 2026”

A vast assortment of dresses, shoes, and numerous other items that once belonged to Princess Diana will embark on a global exhibition tour. The remarkable collection of 3,000 pieces was curated by an Australian woman who poured substantial resources into her fascination with Princess Diana. Renae Plant, the collector, is now eager to share these treasures with Diana’s admirers worldwide. The ambitious tour is set to kick off in November 2026, with California slated as the initial stop before moving to other locations.

Renae expressed her excitement about the tour, envisioning a permanent exhibition in the UK as the ultimate goal. Each item in the collection holds a distinct narrative, with Renae investing millions in acquiring various pieces, including two dresses that each cost over £250,000. She fondly recounted her two encounters with Princess Diana, highlighting the profound impact they had on her.

Reflecting on the genesis of her collection, Renae shared that it began modestly with magazine posters before evolving into a passion following Diana’s passing in 1997. Her journey intensified in 2014 when she acquired a significant piece worn by Diana while carrying Prince William. Over time, Renae’s collection grew to over 100 pieces of Diana’s clothing and nearly 3,000 items in total, encompassing personal mementos like baby shoes and wedding slippers.

One particular item in the collection stands out for Renae—a dress crafted by Jacques Azagury for Diana in 1997 that she never had the chance to wear, still adorned with pins from her final fitting. The emotional connection Renae holds to these items underscores the profound impact Princess Diana had on her life and the dedication she has poured into preserving Diana’s legacy through this extraordinary collection.
