Darts prodigy Beau Greaves has expressed her openness to joining the prestigious Premier League if given the opportunity. The 21-year-old garnered attention after defeating Luke Littler en route to winning the World Youth Final, sparking discussions about her potential ascent.
Renowned five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld has suggested that an impressive performance at the upcoming PDC World Championship could secure Greaves a spot among the elite eight Premier League players. Previous winners of the championship include Luke Humphries, Stephen Bunting, Gerwyn Price, Rob Cross, Nathan Aspinall, Michael van Gerwen, and Chris Dobey.
Although Greaves remains cautious about her chances of entering the Premier League, she acknowledges the excitement it would bring. Grateful for the praise she has received, Greaves remarked on the flattering comments from Van Barneveld and the honor it would be to compete at that level.
Reflecting on her recent victory over Littler, Greaves admitted that it boosted her confidence significantly. Looking ahead, she is set to face Michael van Gerwen in her opening group match at the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton, aiming to challenge perceptions about women’s ability to compete with male players in the sport.
Embracing a newfound belief in her skills since obtaining her Tour Card, Greaves is focused on enjoying the game and proving her capabilities on the darts stage. She remains undaunted by potential challenges, expressing her readiness to face any opponent with confidence and determination.
