An enlarged photo featuring Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein has been displayed on the King’s doorstep, blown up to the size of a tennis court. The current US President and convicted sex offender, Epstein, were famously photographed together at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida in 1997. Amid ongoing speculation about their relationship during Trump’s controversial second term, the photo was magnified and placed outside Windsor Castle.
A UK group named Everyone Hates Elon created a 400 square-meter version of the image and positioned it in front of the royal residence after fundraising £30,000 to disrupt Trump’s UK visit. Trump, who is currently visiting the UK and lodging with King Charles at Windsor Castle, has faced increased activism ahead of his historic second state visit. The group also set up a similar memorial for Epstein at Trump’s Aberdeen golf course, launched parody bus advertisements, and scattered fake merchandise in the Windsor Castle shop.
Photographs of the giant photo displayed on the pathway leading to the royal residence show activists surrounding it. A spokesperson for the group stated that the stunt aims to highlight the supposed friendship between Trump and Epstein. They emphasized that they aim to ensure Epstein’s presence follows Trump wherever he goes, expressing disapproval of Trump’s actions.
Epstein’s shadow continues to loom over Trump during his second term, with speculation about a cover-up surrounding the “Epstein files.” Despite denying a connection to Epstein, Trump has faced scrutiny over his previous interactions and statements about the disgraced financier. The White House has refuted claims regarding a note allegedly written by Trump in Epstein’s “birthday book,” asserting that the President did not draw the picture or sign it. However, Trump’s past comments praising Epstein’s social life have resurfaced, fueling further criticism.
