“Lewis Hamilton Seeks Support Amid Ferrari Struggles”

Mercedes’ head of communications has revealed that team principal Toto Wolff has been in communication with former driver Lewis Hamilton to provide assistance during a challenging season at Ferrari. The seven-time world champion has been struggling to adjust to the team, encountering issues with the car’s performance and race strategies.

Hamilton’s difficulties were highlighted at the recent Qatar Grand Prix, where he was eliminated in the first qualifying session and finished outside the points in 12th place despite a comeback effort during the race. Currently placed sixth in the drivers’ standings, he risks slipping to seventh after the final race in Abu Dhabi.

Expressing his frustration, Hamilton has described the 2025 season as the “worst ever”, despite giving his all on and off the track. Recognizing his struggles, Mercedes has extended personal support to him, with discussions and support provided by Wolff during race events.

In a conversation with CHAMP1, Bradley Lord, Mercedes’ chief communications officer, empathized with Hamilton’s challenges and emphasized the team’s commitment to encouraging him. Lord mentioned that they believe in Hamilton’s ability to bounce back stronger from this experience and remain a significant figure in the sport.

As Hamilton prepares for the season’s finale in Abu Dhabi, aiming to secure his sixth-place standing in the drivers’ rankings, he faces stiff competition from Kimi Antonelli, who trails closely with 150 points. This race marks Hamilton’s final drive with the current Ferrari model, which has posed numerous challenges for him.

Despite the setbacks, Ferrari’s team principal Fred Vasseur has urged the team to continue striving for success. Vasseur emphasized the importance of learning from past mistakes and maintaining focus on improving performance. Ferrari is looking to end the season positively before shifting its focus entirely to the upcoming 2026 campaign.
