A British travel agency specializing in flight and hotel holiday packages has declared bankruptcy, resulting in the cancellation of all existing bookings. Regen Central Ltd, established in 2011 in Hertfordshire, ceased its operations on January 13, as per official records from Companies House.
The company, trading under various names like One Haji & Umrah, Regen Travels, and Oneworld Travels, offered travel packages to Europe and Southeast Asia. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) confirmed that Regen Central Ltd, holding an Air Travel Organisers’ Licence (ATOL), stopped trading last week.
ATOL, managed by the CAA, safeguards package holiday travelers in the UK, ensuring financial protection and assistance in case of travel company insolvency. However, non-flight packages and accommodation-only bookings are not covered under ATOL protection, leaving them without refund security.
The CAA stated that there were no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings under Regen Central Ltd. Thus, refunds will not be provided for non-ATOL protected bookings. Customers who believe they are entitled to an ATOL-protected refund are advised to contact the CAA via email at claims@caa.co.uk.
While Regen Central Ltd received positive reviews on Google for its services under names like One Hajj & Umrah and Oneworld Travels, recent closures of UK-based travel companies like Ickenham Travel Group Ltd, Great Little Escapes LLP, and Jetline Travel Ltd have been noted by the CAA.
