“Tragic Cliff Fall: 13-Year-Old Boy Lost to Devastated Father”

A 13-year-old boy tragically lost his life after slipping off a cliff, with his devastated father being the first to discover him.

Kayleb Lynn Eddings was hiking with a friend when he slipped near the edge of Brewer Bluff on Saturday, falling approximately 200 feet.

Emergency responders, including park staff, search-and-rescue volunteers, fire crews, and Survival Flight, quickly mobilized. Fire department members rappelled down the bluff while park rangers approached from the river below.

The boy, identified as Kayleb Lynn Eddings, was found unresponsive by his father, Toby Eddings, who was one of the first to reach him. Unfortunately, Kayleb succumbed to his injuries from the fall.

Living near the bluff in Searcy County, Arkansas, the 13-year-old’s family is now grappling with the tragedy. The area around Buffalo National River, which spans 135 miles, is known for its rugged and steep terrain, with park officials urging caution near cliff edges.

Described as a loving individual, Kayleb was an avid four-wheeler rider who enjoyed spending time with friends and hunting with his grandfather.

His family remembers him fondly for his affectionate nature, particularly towards his siblings. They are now facing the profound loss of his vibrant presence.

In a separate incident, a 12-year-old boy slipped near a puddle and fell to his death at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. The tragic event involved Chinese tourists who had recently arrived in the country.

Witnesses recounted the harrowing moment when the young boy lost his balance near the cliff’s edge, leading to his fatal fall. A post mortem report confirmed that the cause of death was accidental due to multiple traumatic injuries sustained in the fall.
