According to Greater Manchester Police, they received a call about the disturbance on Monton Street, Moss Side, in the afternoon of September 15, 2025. The authorities revealed that a 15-year-old boy was found with stab wounds and despite medical attention, he passed away shortly afterward. As a result, a stop and search order has been enforced until the following evening.
Chief Superintendent David Meeney of the City of Manchester district mentioned that specialized officers are offering support to the victim’s family while the investigation unfolds. He emphasized the seriousness of finding the individual responsible for the tragic incident and assured that efforts are being made to uncover the circumstances leading to the event.
Ch Spt Meeney urged the community to step forward with any information they may possess related to the incident. He acknowledged the impact of the event on the community and emphasized the heightened police presence in the area to provide answers to the victim’s family.
