“Petraeus: Ukraine Ready to Expel Russia with Sea Drones”

Former US General David Petraeus has suggested that Russia could face expulsion from Ukraine if they deploy underwater drones. Petraeus, known for his leadership in conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, believes that Ukraine possesses the necessary missiles and sea drones to effectively combat Russian forces. He emphasized the importance of Western support for Ukraine to implement a three-point plan to counter Russian aggression.

Ukraine’s TLK-1000 sea drone, capable of targeting from a distance of 1,200 miles, along with other unmanned systems and missiles like the Flamingo ground-launch cruise missile, have bolstered Ukraine’s defense capabilities. Petraeus highlighted the potential of these technologies to impede Russian advances and potentially lead to a ceasefire.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Russia is intensifying its military recruitment efforts, with nearly 300,000 new recruits joining the Ministry of Defence since the beginning of the year. The Kremlin’s alleged preparations for a conflict with NATO have raised concerns among experts, as Russia continues to bolster its military forces.

NATO, in response to recent Russian activities near its borders, is enhancing its defenses. Putin’s administration has denied involvement in these actions, attributing them to Western provocations. As tensions escalate, both sides are preparing for potential military confrontations.

In Ukraine, as the conflict persists, conscription of soldiers from the public is underway, with around 135,000 individuals being called up for military service. The conscripts, aged 18 to 30, are mandated by Russian law to serve in the armed forces. Putin has approved this conscription decree, indicating Russia’s commitment to strengthening its military capabilities.
