“Expert Warns of Russia’s Provocative Military Tactics”

An expert has raised concerns about Russia’s aggressive military tactics, suggesting that the country is testing the resolve of the UK and NATO. Eliza Manningham-Buller, former head of MI5, indicated that the UK might already be engaged in a conflict with Russia.

This warning follows statements made by Dr. Fiona Hill, a former White House adviser, who asserted that Russia is actively waging war against the West through various means such as poisonings, assassinations, cyber attacks, and sabotage operations.

The situation has been exacerbated by reported incursions by Russian aircraft in Poland, Denmark, and Estonia, with the most recent incident occurring during attacks on Ukraine. NATO’s response has heightened concerns of escalating conflict as Russia continues its aggressive actions and peace negotiations stall.

Professor Natasha Lindstaedt from the University of Essex believes that Russia is employing “hybrid war tactics” to probe the UK and NATO’s responses. She explained that Russia’s recent drone activities in Denmark, Estonia, and Poland are designed to create uncertainty and disrupt the enemy, a strategy known as “sharp power.”

While Russia may not seek victory in conventional warfare, its objective is to convey a message to the UK and NATO. Professor Lindstaedt emphasized the need for better preparedness against cyber threats and drones, as reliance solely on expensive equipment may not be sufficient.
