A disturbing incident was captured on body camera footage revealing a married teacher’s admission to enticing an 11-year-old student into her home under the guise of “play dates” in her bed. The teacher, Alley Bardfield, 34, was taken into custody after confessing to engaging in sexual activities with the underage boy on the same bed she shared with her husband. Newly released bodycam footage unveiled Bardfield’s shocking 12-word confession when questioned by the arresting officer about her actions towards the young boy.
Allegedly, Bardfield had sent over £500 to the teen over a period of months and exchanged nude photos with him on Snapchat, according to court reports. When questioned about sending explicit photos to the boy, Bardfield claimed he persistently requested them and refused to stop bothering her.
In a surprising twist, Bardfield shifted blame onto the young boy, stating that he had made advances towards her. The situation came to light when the boy’s parents noticed his unusual behavior at home and discovered that he had been visiting Bardfield’s residence in Mount Zion, Illinois. These visits, labeled as “play dates” by Bardfield, culminated in a troubling sexual encounter.
Following the boy’s confession prompted by his parents’ discovery of incriminating messages, they alerted the authorities. Further investigations revealed pictures of the boy and the teacher together at her residence. Subsequently, the boy was taken to the hospital for a rape kit examination after revealing the events in April 2024. A plan was devised by the family and law enforcement to gather evidence against Bardfield through incriminating text messages and recorded calls with the student.
During a wiretapped call authorized by the court, Bardfield informed the boy that she could not conceive due to having her tubes tied. The conversation also revealed the boy’s intention to visit her again upon his return, to which Bardfield responded affirmatively. Bardfield later admitted to predatory criminal assault against a minor and was terminated from her position as a supply teacher. Her sentencing is scheduled for September 25.
The school issued a statement emphasizing their commitment to student safety and cooperation with the local authorities in light of the incident, despite it not occurring on school premises. They assured support for students and staff during this challenging time.
