“Teen Accused of Gruesome Murder Confession”

A teenager, identified as Damien Hurstel, stands accused of brutally murdering his mother’s boyfriend. Reports indicate that Hurstel confessed to police in a graphic manner, detailing his intentions to dispose of the victim’s body. The 19-year-old allegedly confessed to bludgeoning Anthony Casalaspro, 45, with a meat tenderiser, expressing a desire to experience killing someone.

Law enforcement sources revealed that Hurstel planned to liquefy the body in a blender and then dispose of it down the toilet, starting with the brain. Hurstel is anticipated to face charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon. The victim was found with multiple stab wounds to the neck and head, with body parts removed using a hacksaw, following an altercation with his mother, Alicia Zayas.

The disturbing discovery of Casalaspro’s decapitated body was made by Hurstel’s 16-year-old sister upon returning home. The teenager allegedly confessed to his sister about the incident, urging her not to witness the gruesome scene. Hurstel’s mother, upon arriving at the scene, displayed extreme emotional distress.

Witnesses described Hurstel, found with blood stains on his clothing, as compliant when being escorted out of the house by authorities. Despite appearing calm and relieved, Hurstel, who reportedly has a history of mental illness and is suspected to be schizophrenic, was linked to the victim, a retired employee of New York’s Department of Sanitation.

Louis Ortiz, a close friend of the victim, revealed that Casalaspro had been involved with Hurstel’s mother for nearly six years, highlighting the complexities of their relationship with the children. Hurstel, known to exhibit erratic behavior, was described as having mental health issues while at school.

Scheduled for arraignment on murder and weapon possession charges, Hurstel experienced a seizure en route to a Staten Island courthouse, necessitating immediate medical attention.
