An annoyed Luke Littler has criticized a darts coach who questioned his decision to participate in the World Youth Championship, referring to him as an ‘absolute helmet’. Littler, 18, competed in the tournament in Wigan recently but was defeated in the semi-finals by emerging talent Beau Greaves, who ultimately won the title.
Despite facing criticism, Littler expressed his enjoyment of the experience and commended Greaves, a three-time women’s world champion at only 21 years old. However, Cornwall was unimpressed with Littler’s participation.
In a scathing remark on the Mission Darts Podcast, Cornwall described Littler’s decision as “ridiculous” and accused him of seeking attention at the expense of others. Littler, in turn, responded sharply on Instagram, denouncing Cornwall as an “absolute helmet” and distancing himself from him.
Defending his choice to compete in the youth championship, Littler stated that it provided valuable experience in a professional setting. Cornwall, on the other hand, directed his criticism towards Stephen Bunting’s gameplay, questioning his positioning at the oche.
As tensions escalated between Littler and Cornwall, the debate surrounding the darts community intensified. The question remains: Will Luke Littler emerge victorious in the 2025-26 PDC World Championship? Share your predictions in the comments section below.
